USSF Rules will be played but with the following exceptions:
No Off sides.
No slide tackling (This is not applicable to a keeper sliding in his own box. Sliding to stop, trap, kick, or pass the ball when there is clearly no danger to an opponent is not slide tackling and is permitted. All other slide tackles (including ones in the box) will result in an indirect free kick). Violations will result in an indirect kick.
Two – 20 minute halves will be played with running time.
Half-time will be 2 minutes.
Indirect kicks will be used instead of throw-ins.
The defenders must be 5 yards from the ball on all kicks.
If the ball hits any of the nets above the field, it will be an indirect kick for the opposing team, closest to the spot where it hit.
All teams will play 8 vs. 8 (7 field players plus a goalkeeper).
Goalkeepers are not allowed to punt from their hands. Ball must be drop kicked or thrown in.
The penalty kick for hand balls or direct fouls in the box will be placed at the top of the goal box.
No substituting on the fly. There must be stoppage of play and you must have the referee's permission per USSF rules.
No cleats allowed. Sneaker or indoor shoes only.
DETERMINATION OF STANDINGS:
In qualifying rounds, games shall be scored as follows: WIN – 3 points; TIE – 1 point; Loss – 0 points.
No overtime shall be played. In the event of a tie in the point standings, the following priority shall be used to break the tie:
1) Winner of head-to-head competition (only includes the tied teams)
2) Goal differential (5 max. per game)
3) Most goals scored (5 max. per game)
4) Least goals allowed (5 max. per game)
5) coin toss
SPORTSMANSHIP:
Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players, as well as their fans. The issuance of all red and yellow cards and other matters involving the conduct of a team, its players, coaches, or supporters will be recorded and be reported to HSA. The Executive Committee asks for your support in helping to provide the players and fans with safe and enjoyable games during the tournament.
PLAYER EJECTION:
A player or coach ejected from a game, shall be suspended from participating in their next scheduled match, and must leave the area of the field. The Executive Committee shall review all players or coaches ejected, and that committee may apply further sanctions if deemed appropriate. There will be no appeal of such decisions.
